Module II of the DPR Instructor Seminar will focus on how to approach teaching controversial topics in the classroom and handle “hot moments.” Participants will also have an opportunity to share their successes and collaboratively problem-solve around instructional questions related to delivering a DPR course. The Instructor Seminar is required for part-time faculty who teach DPR designated courses and who have not previously completed the Seminar. Experienced DPR faculty are strongly encouraged to participate. The workshop qualifies for 10 points toward the Cultural Competency Certificate under Focus Area III. Part-time faculty who are required to complete the training will be compensated. Other participants can access up to $75 worth of additional professional development resources such as books or conference registrations.

Please note: There are some short online activities to complete in preparation for the synchronous gathering.
