Inclusive Design – Best Practices in Accessible Document Creation

Digital materials have become an essential part of the higher education experience. Online, hybrid and even face-to-face courses have a digital component. From the syllabus to the eLearn shell and online readings and presentations, most course content is being created and distributed in a digital formats.
This increased digital presence means that it is critical to ensure that all students, including students with disabilities have equal and equitable access to learning materials. Many of the techniques that improve accessibility also improve course quality and make materials more usable for all students.
This workshop will introduce you to Digital Accessibility and demonstrate some things that you can do to help make your materials more usable and accessible. Join us to learn how a few changes to your online materials can improve course quality and enhance learning for all!
