Closed Captioning

Audio or video materials in your course are now required to be captioned, transcripted, and/or audio described per the ADA/Title II rule. The Center for Academic Innovation has access to a professional captioning and transcription service for faculty support.

  • Audio Descriptions
  • Real-Time Captioning for Events

Automatic Captioning in Kaltura

Instructors can requests automatic captions for their media in Kaltura. Although automatic captions are helpful, they do not meet the requirements for student accomodations given the usual error rate. Student Accessibility Services will provide captioning given a student accomodation.
