National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD)
NISOD promotes and celebrates excellence in teaching, learning, and leadership at community and technical colleges. Primarily focused on the intersection of information technology and teaching and learning in higher education, EDUCAUSE publishes content, hosts conferences, and offers institutes and learning labs on a range of topics. Instructional Technology Council (ITC)
ITC is a leader in advancing distance education. ITC’s mission is to provide exceptional leadership and professional development in higher education to its network of eLearning practitioners by advocating, collaborating, researching, and sharing exemplary, innovative practices and potential in educational technologies. Northwest eLearn
The NW eLearning Community was founded in 2005 to share best practices in pedagogy, instructional design, and program management in online environments. Their main goal is to promote collaboration on the use of learning technologies through online resources and an annual regional conference.

Online Learning Consortium
“The Online Learning Consortium (OLC) is a collaborative community of higher education leaders and innovators, dedicated to advancing quality digital teaching and learning experiences designed to reach and engage the modern learner – anyone, anywhere, anytime. OLC inspires innovation and quality through an extensive set of resources, including best-practice publications, quality benchmarking, leading-edge instruction, community-driven conferences, practitioner-based and empirical research, and expert guidance.” The OLC offers three levels of certification for online instruction; a mastery series of workshops for instructional design, leadership, online nursing, online science labs, and the quality scorecard; and more narrowly focused workshops that focus on a range of special topics.

Quality Matters
Quality Matters is an organization who offers quality assurance tools for online instruction. It helps facilitate course reviews as well as publishes research. It offers certifications in online teaching and shorter-term workshops on specific topics.

Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE)
The WICHE Commission oversees the development of WICHE programs and assures that the Western Regional Compact is carried out for the benefit of the citizens of the West.
Cooperative for Educational Technologies (WCET): WCET is the leader in the practice, policy, & advocacy of digital learning in higher education. We are a member-driven organization that brings together colleges, universities, higher education organizations, and companies to collectively improve the quality and reach of digital learning programs.
Every Learner Everywhere (Key Initiative of WICHE): Every Learner Everywhere is a network of twelve partner organizations with expertise in evaluating, implementing, scaling, and measuring the efficacy of education technologies, curriculum and course design strategies, teaching practices, and support services that personalize instruction for students in blended and online learning environments.
