Remediating Scanned Documents using PDF Max

1. Select the Panorama icon – this will open the alternative formats and Accessibility Report
   • If the document is scanned, the score will be 0%
2. Select the Accessibility Report – this will open the remediation tool
   • Report will let you know that the PDF is Untagged
3. Select the Fix Issue Button – this will open a window in the panel
4. Determine and select the appropriate option for tagging your PDF and select the Add Fix and Return to Review Button
5. Select the Apply Fixes Button at the bottom of the panel
6. Reopen the Accessibility Report
   • The document will now have a new Accessibility Score
7. Follow the instructions to remediate the document as usual
   • One of the Issues you will encounter is to Check Reading Order you can do this using the Structural Remediation Tool
