To support our continued efforts to improve student transferability to our partner institutions, we’re excited to share that Tim Pierce’s current Curriculum Coordinator position has very recently been expanded to include Chemeketa’s articulation and transfer initiatives, as well. Tim’s new title is Curriculum, Articulation and Transfer Coordinator.
- Tim’s newly expanded role will include (among many other things!):
Serving as the primary liaison between Chemeketa, four-year institutions, and other entities to support the development and maintenance of our transfer curriculum, at the course, program and institution level. - Coordinating and communicating with internal and external stakeholders to formalize institutional articulation agreements, articulated programs, and memoranda of understanding to facilitate seamless transfer opportunities for Chemeketa students.
- Communicating and promoting institutional transfer and articulation opportunities to members of the Chemeketa service district.
- Representing the college in state-wide initiatives related to curriculum and transfer, including Guided Pathways, Major Transfer Mapping, Common Course Numbering, and others.
This is exceptionally important work in the community college environment, and we’re very excited about what this will mean for our students and their expanded transfer opportunities. In addition, we are particularly excited about the knowledge, professionalism and enthusiasm Tim brings to this work. Please join us in thanking Tim Pierce for his willingness to shoulder these additional responsibilities, and congratulate him on his new role!
